Warehouse Supervisor

The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for all aspects of shipping, receiving, and controlling materials flow for Vital operations. This position would also involve performing warehouse administration duties, supervision, and logistics management.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure correct shipment of inbound and outbound domestic and international orders taking into account material hazards, as required.
• Developing, implementing, and improving inventory protection, warehouse layout, and product movement.
• Delivery and coordination of work orders.
• Performing warehouse administrative duties involving billing, ordering parts, and inventory.
• Safe operation of material handling equipment when receiving and delivering equipment/parts.
• Maintain and encourage a clean and safe working environment within the facility.
• Review and inspect shipments and advise management of discrepancies or damaged shipments.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure proper documentation of materials.
• Identify areas of improvement and implement best practices.
• Extensive knowledge of shipping and receiving standards required.
• Act as a mentor, provide guidance, set goals, and conduct performance reviews.
• Interview and hire new employees working with HR in the recruiting/hiring process.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience:

• 5 years previous warehouse experience.
• Knowledge of various shipping and freight methods and their procedures required. (UPS, FedEx, International Freight Services, etc.).
• Licenses required to operate material handling equipment and maintain such licenses (i.e. forklift).
• Experienced supervisory or managerial skills.
• Must be familiar with Microsoft Office Software.
• Must be knowledgeable in ERP/MRP systems. (SAP preferred).
• Organized with attention to detail.
• Knowledgeable of warehouse safety procedures and protocols.
• Must be able to work in team environment.
• Ability to use hand tools.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to use mobile systems, communication devices, and simple tool interfaces.
• Fundamental computer application knowledge.
• Driver’s License or State issued ID. Previous warehouse, shipping, and receiving experience required
• Previous supervisor or management experience strongly preferred
• SAP knowledge and experience strongly preferred

Education:

High School Diploma or GED required

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

• Ability to sit, stand, or walk short distances for duration of shift.
• Will climb stairs on an occasional basis.
• Will lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to visually inspect machines.
• Required to use hand to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel object repetitively on a frequent basis.
• May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis.
• May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis.
• Must be able to comply with safety standards and procedures.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including, but not limited to; steel toed shoes, cut resistant gloves, jackets, aprons and/or arm guards, safety glasses, hearing protection).
• Temperatures in building could fluctuate - heat/cold.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
