The Warehouse Supervisor provides direction to Warehouse Leads and associates to ensure all warehouse functions are completed successfully during 2nd Shift. This role actively participates in the operational functions of picking and auditing material, preparing orders, loading material onto local delivery trucks, auditing the truck loads and overseeing the routing of trucks. This also includes assisting in closing out daily business while ensuring the warehouse material condition is maintained and improved.
The 2nd Shift Warehouse Supervisor reports to the 2nd Shift Warehouse Manager.
The schedule is 3p-11:30p.
Responsibilities:
- Acts as the point person for all operational responsibilities during shift; knows when to escalate issues and concerns to Warehouse Manager providing solutions as needed.
- Supervises and participates in the picking, auditing, and preparation of all orders.
- Supervises and assists in the loading of all local trucks in preparation for morning deliveries, to include auditing truck loads and ensuring trucks are loaded in an optimal way for morning delivery drivers to make unencumbered and efficient deliveries.
- Responsible for the truck routing process and can execute the delivery schedule as needed.
- Assists with general warehouse activities as necessary to include counter “Will Call” order picking if necessary, cycle counting, potential after noon or night delivery runs, and assistance with national accounts order preparation among other activities.
- Ensures warehouse organization and cleanliness is improved and maintained.
- Under the direction of the Warehouse Manager and with support of the HR Team, provides feedback and documentation on performance issues, attendance or other policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates personal leadership and behavior of the highest standards of ethical behavior and supports the mission, vision, values of the company.
- Oversees skills assessment, training and development for employees related to operational duties/responsibilities and safety; provides ideas and suggestions for improvement to training programs.
- Works with the Operations Managers to maintain a staffing plan and cross training within the department and encourage promotional opportunities.
- Champions the Company's Accident Prevention and Safety programs and actively works to prevent accidents.

Skills/Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- 1-2 years supervisor or lead experience.
- Minimum of 6 months in a warehouse, distribution or storage facility of more than 50 people.
- Ability to utilize RF warehouse management equipment.
- Basic understanding of the Solar Eclipse ERP system.
- Ability to operate material moving equipment such as a forklift, riding pallet jack, manual pallet jack, and picking carts.
- Ability to lift, carry, and otherwise transport work-related materials that frequently weigh up to 25 lbs. and may occasionally weigh in significant excess of 25 lbs.
- Position spends 100% of time standing, walking, lifting, pulling and pushing.
