Starting Salary: $29.93–$32.78 (depending on experience)

About this Position
The Warehouse Supervisor performs skilled labor and supervises the operations of a warehouse and its associated equipment. Work involves responsibility for stock control, storage, distribution, and receipt of inventory. This position supervises Warehouse Workers and staff, and may supervise inexperienced workers assigned for training and assistance. The Warehouse Supervisor operates under the direct supervision of the Electric Distribution Superintendent and Director.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate receiving, stacking, storing, maintaining, safeguarding, and inventorying construction and maintenance materials
- Maintain inventory software to preclude material shortages and overages
- Maintain a well-organized, clean, and safe environment
- Understand and enforce safety programs by observing work practices and helping investigate injuries and accidents
- Design and implement work methods, procedures, and strategies to increase productivity and improve service
- Assist with development of budget expenditures
- Perform call-back duties and be available for callouts during off duty hours
- Maintain readiness in Presidential directive and City of Edmond related issues, such as Incident Command System (ICS) and similar systems
- Actively participate in team skills training and development opportunities
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 3 years of related experience and/or training
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 12-18 months of management experience
- people and/orproject management
- Certification of four-year correspondence studies of the City of Edmond, Electric Lineman Apprenticeship Training Program as a Class I Lineman
- Possess, or be able to obtain within thirty (30) days of the hire date, a valid Oklahoma Driver's License (standard operator’s license) and a driving record acceptable to the City's insurance carrier
