Job Description
This position manages shipping department processes and employees. Provides direction to employees on assignments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversees the shipping operation
- Prioritizes work for self and employees considering schedule and customer needs.
- Ensures outbound loads are being loaded correctly and in a timely manner.
- Reviews outbound paperwork to verify accuracy.
- Use Warehouse management location reports to audit storage locations in the warehouse and assign inbound loads to locations within the warehouse.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisor Responsibilities
- Provides consistent feedback and coaching to employees within the shipping & fulfillment area.
- Provides feedback to HR and Operations manager on annual performance reviews for employee.
- Gives discipline when necessary following policies and documents
- Verifies employee timecards to ensure accuracy for payroll purposes.
- Ensures a safe working environment for employees.
Qualifications/ Education/Certification Requirements
- Associates degree or higher preferred but 3-5 years’ experience as a Shipping Supervisor will be considered in place of degree.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous RF Scanner experience preferred.
- Previous forklift experience preferred.
- Previous warehouse leadership & management preferred.
