Warehouse Receiving Associate

Position Overview

Essential Job Functions

The Warehouse Person is responsible for performing tasks involved in processing and shipping orders to the customer.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsibilities may include: receiving, picking, packing, auditing, and shipping merchandise to the customer
• Load and unload truckloads of merchandise
• Verifies orders to ensure accuracy
• Operates a clean and safe work environment, ensuring that all areas of the warehouse and yard are well-maintained, kept orderly, and free of debris
• Maintains quality standards set forth by warehouse management
• Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing requests, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed through a computer
• Assist in counting physical inventory
• Prepare parcels for mailing

Basic Qualifications & Interests

• Willing and able to stand at least 8 hours with or without reasonable accommodation
• Willing and able to perform tasks which include: pushing, pulling, grasping, and lifting with or without reasonable accommodation
• Willing and able to carry 50+ pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Must be able to operate a forklift
• Assist in the setup of various farm equipment that is new and unused

Preferred Qualifications & Interests

• High School Diploma/GED
• 2 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution center
• At least 6 months of experience operating motorized material handling equipment
