Job Summary:
Parts Picker and Driver will fill in for drivers when other drivers are absent from work. The Parts Picker and Driver is responsible for accurately interpreting, pulling, and delivering orders to the technicians, parts counter, or shipping. Parts Picker and Driver will fill in for drivers when other drivers are absent from work. Parts Picker and Driver should have heavy duty/medium duty Truck Parts experience, excellent communication skills, and computer skills. The candidate should be self-motivated and have the ability to increase sales.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Function and Responsibilities:
- Receive and interpret pick tickets and product orders to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.
- Assemble customer and shop orders from stock and place orders on pallets, shelves, service bay or relocates orders to a holding area in the shipping department.
- Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
- Maintain and rotate inventory of stocked products, as necessary.
- Verify inventories, maintain organization of products, and performs other miscellaneous stocking duties, as requested
- Ensures the cleanliness of the parts department by disposing of used boxes and trash, sweeping floors and dusting parts bins daily.
- Maintain clean driving record.
- Maintain Delivery Vehicle
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands:
- Stand, walk and deliver parts to service counter and service bays within the 6-8 hours work shift.
- Ability to lift or carry up to 50+ lb. parts to a height of 44inches.
- Will be required to reach, climb, twist, crouch, kneel or stoop to retrieve parts from shelves.
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma required.
- Parts and/or driving related experience a plus.
- Must possess and use good interpersonal skills and have the ability to interact well with customers, vendors, and co-workers in a positive and constructive manner.
- Must be able to read and write in English, understand computer generated reports, invoices, etc
