The Warehouse Picker/Forklift Driver will pick/pack orders and deliver them to the production, and are expected to pick/pack orders for shipment, keeping in mind the quantity and type specified as well as operating the forklift to transport materials between loading, unloading, bulk and picking locations.
The Warehouse Picker duties will include:
- Perform general physical activities in the warehouse, such as loading, unloading, sorting and moving products and materials manually and using handling equipment.
- Read work orders and receive verbal instructions for work assignments.
- Pull and pack orders.
- Check orders for accuracy.
- Identify any damages or discrepancies on the order.
- Operate packing system efficiently and accurately.
- Keep stock clean.
- Read orders to determine catalog size, color, and amount of goods.
- Receive pick tickets from warehouse supervisor.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- Work in accordance with all safety regulations of the warehouse.
The Forklift Driver duties will include:
- Move goods to Bulk warehouse or picking locations if needed.
- Move goods from receiving to QA for inspection.
- Load and unload trucks.
- Reporting to supervisor regarding any damage to racks, faulty equipment or any other safety hazards.
- Stacking empty pallets.
- Follow all safety codes.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
- Able to multi-task in a rapid environment.
- Able to handle a physical workload.
- Works well with others and can follow instructions.
- Not afraid to ask questions!
- Problem-solving and organizational skills.
- ATTENTION TO DETAIL
Requirements
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic math skills
- Ability to read labels and numbers
- Stand / Walk for long periods of time
- Warehouse experience strongly preferred
- Computer efficient is a MUST!
