Summary

Responsible for the overall warehouse organization, Building, and inventory controls needed to maintain efficient support to the production department. Supervises the warehouse material handlers and drivers. May be assigned other duties/tasks at the discretion of management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintain neat and orderly warehouse areas.

  • Drive implementation of Inventory in Midnight software. Train warehouse staff to use Midnight to receive products and inventory products.

  • Maintain and document PM schedule on warehouse vehicles such as forklifts, delivery vehicles.

  • Maintain generator and PM schedule.

  • Maintain up-to-date inventory counts of company and customer materials and supplies, this includes a manual year-end inventory.

  • Operate forklifts in accordance with OSHA requirements and recommendations.

  • Maintain equipment according to manufacturer’s recommendations.

  • Advise Management of equipment problems and schedule repairs with Operations Manager

  • Record and verify the accuracy of paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments/deliveries.

  • Load/unload all carriers as quickly and safely as possible.

  • Check deliveries for poor packing and the general condition of materials- alert Account Managers and department head of problems found.

  • Immediately notify Account Manager & Production Manager of damaged materials received. Make Notes of such on-delivery slips, take photos.

  • Pull and hand deliver material samples to both production & Account Manager’s offices in a timely manner.

  • Pull and stage materials for production.

  • Keep sufficient levels of USPS supplies (trays/sleeves/tubs/lids, etc.) staged throughout the building so as not to disrupt or halt production.

  • Schedule Driver pickups and/or deliveries in any company owned vehicle as needed – this includes client pickups/deliveries, daily post office deliveries and may include other runs as needed.

  • Accurately document all leftover materials- either return to warehouse or prepare & stage for shipping/delivery

  • Create shipping forms, prepare packages for shipping and coordinate pickup with appropriate carrier

  • Submit completed paperwork to Account Manager – all shipments/deliveries are to be completed within 24hrs of the job being completed by the production dept.

  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Must have a forklift certification,

  • Be able to use reach trucks,

  • Knowledge of clamp trucks for roll stock.

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervisory of drivers, company vehicles, and material handlers.
