Job Summary:
Oversee daily operations and warehousing activities of all incoming and outgoing materials. Supervise the receipt, storage and dispatch of raw materials. Ensure the safe and successful execution of all processes necessary to maintain inventory accuracy, optimal inventory turns, and efficient delivery of materials to production facility. Plan and assign work for warehouse associates; implement policies and procedures; develop subordinates’ skills and capabilities; and recommend improvements in warehouse/distribution methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.
Essential Functions:
- Supervise daily warehouse activities, including inventory control, incoming material quality assurance, order pulling, logistics, space management, productivity, shipping, and customer service.
- Effectively lead, motivate, train, and communicate with warehouse staff to assure superior levels of safety, accuracy, reliability, quality, and productivity.
- Ensure inventory data integrity is sustained on a real time basis through prompt and accurate transaction processing.
- Plan and conduct periodic cycle count and physical inventory activities.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized environment throughout the warehouse.
- Ensure all inventory is safely stored through use of approved storage methods and material handling equipment.
- Ensure all OSHA guidelines for material handling equipment condition, use, and training are followed and licensing is maintained.
- Develop and lead continuous improvement projects within the warehouse and associated functions interacting with the warehouse.
- Serve as a liaison between warehouse and production teams by building meaningful and respectful relationships.
- Participate in and lead project teams that promote and improve safety, quality, reliability, production, and waste reduction utilizing lean manufacturing tools.
- Lead departmental team to support company objective regarding safety, quality and service.
- Monitor and develop staffing plans to ensure proper staffing levels are maintained – manage labor costs, overtime and retention.
- Isolate and house any products which do not meet the established quality standards and facilitate return to vendor activities.
- Create and maintain a warehouse culture in accordance with Exiss Key Principles and Objectives.

Skills:
- Proven work experience as a warehouse supervisor or manager with excellent computer skills.
- Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases.
- OSHA Forklift certification.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management practices, warehouse and distribution best practices, quality management programs and facility maintenance programs.
- Cycle counting / order checking experience.
- Properly interpret and comply with all regulations such as OSHA, NFPA, etc.
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment, set clear expectations, and hold people accountable.
- Must be able to plan, allocate resources, manage productivity, and coordinate people and equipment.
- Strong organization, time management, active listening, oral and written expression and comprehension, critical thinking, and reasoning skills.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. infrequently.
- Sit or stand as needed.
- May require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day.
Potential Exposures:
- Exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes and noise.
- Inclement weather.
