Warehouse Leader

As part of the leadership team, the Warehouse Leader will work collaboratively to improve

efficiencies and increase the profitability of operations. This position is focused on customer needs to achieve best-in-class operations. The Warehouse Leader supervises and executes overall facility operations (productivity, quality control, inventory, reporting, delivery, etc.)

Warehouse Leaders may also be responsible for hiring employees and/or training current/new staff on new procedures. This position is often filled by someone with a strong leadership background who can effectively motivate others to perform at the highest level in order to achieve company goals.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly in a physical or moving

position. This role requires a need to communicate with others through listening, talking, and writing. The employee is frequently required to walk, sit, lift, or stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities:

● Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with superior customer service being

the primary goal, by supervising, organizing, directing, and training warehouse

employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operational goals

● Train and manage a warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach

short-term and long-term performance goals

● Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing

standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations

● Supervise daily operations of the warehouse, including quality assurance, inventory

control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service

● Meet regularly with leadership to review, analyze, and develop action plans for

productivity and loss prevention

● Forecast hiring needs and maintains a pipeline of candidates

● Provide support/backup to the Branch Leader

● Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

● High school diploma or equivalent

● 2+ years of experience in a warehouse lead role managing employees

● Must receive company-provided forklift certification within the first 90 days of

employment

● Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

● Ability to twist, pull, push, and stand for long periods

● Dependable and reliable with excellent time management skills

● Comfortable working in adverse climate conditions

● Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities

● Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external resources to generate results

● Excellent communication skills while being comfortable delivering frequent direct written

and/or oral feedback

● Ability to work with all levels of company staff

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.96 - $32.70 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
