- Effectively manages warehouse employees on shift
- Provides knowledge, experience, motivation, and support to team members
- Encourages team effort and supportive attitudes among employees
- Ensures that team members adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and are supplied with protective gear including safety glasses, gloves, hair/beard nets, and proper clothing
- Ensure that team members adhere to safety policies and procedures
- Report unsafe conditions or actions
- Assists in the training of temporary and Conagra Food employees
- Fills in for all warehouse positions as necessary and supervisor during absences
- Assists in shipping, picking, and receiving jobs as needed
- Notifies team of any problems with shipping, picking receiving, and inventory
- Maintains Shipping and Receiving schedules including setting appointments with outside warehouses and transportation company
- Receive and ship products in SAP
- Utilizes SAP to view, track, and adjust product inventory
- Identifies gaps in knowledge and creates Standard Operating Procedures or One Point Lessons.
- Leads the 6S lean initiative by example and ensures that expectations are met
- Supports continuous improvement efforts to improve the quality of service and increase the safety and efficiency of operations
- MRP knowledge, ability to analyze production reports/data and follow-up on corrective actions as needed
- Work in a cold environment, 0 degrees
- Stage pallets and products to ensure the efficiency and safety of warehouse operations
- Rotate date-sensitive stock according to company policy, following FEFO
- Handling shift start-up and shift turnover meetings, with daily reporting responsibilities on production status
- Mobile equipment training responsibility for the department and ensuring mobile equipment maintenance schedule is being followed
- Operate inventory control devices to perform cycle counts and corrections and comply with Conagra cycle count policies.
- Directing daily workflow as needed regarding assigning other hourly team members to ship, receiving, picking, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience operating a sit down forklifts
- Proficiency in Excel and Access database
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to sit, stand, walk and climb stairs.
- Ability to safely operate a sit down forklift to pick and put away products in the warehouse.
- Ability to operate a forklift truck to transport materials and product to and from storage safely.
- Ability to pick products from inventory and place on pallets for relocation.
- Ability to interact/communicate effectively and professionally with coworkers to coordinate work activities.
- Ability to count cases of finished product and pallets.
- Ability to record warehouse inventory data on forms.
- Basic computer skills and ability to operate monitoring equipment required.
- Physically able to respond timely to emergency situations at facility.
- Knowledge of forklift safety and troubleshooting.
- Ability to solve problems independently.
- Must be well organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and on a team with all levels of employees.
- Knowledge of GMP's.
- Ability to be PIT Certified.
