The primary responsibility of this role is to efficiently manage the hygiene schedule by properly scheduling Dental Hygiene appointments and effectively communicating with patients. Hygiene is how we educate our patients, prevent disease, and promote health!
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE...
-Appointing patients on a proper interval and on the patient's due date.
-Having all hygienists scheduled to goal each day.
-Developing an ASAP list of at least 30 patients. Always having an awareness of what patients have flexibility in scheduling.
-Completing all confirmation calls 1 week in advance. Identifying schedule changes with enough time to resolve them.
-Strategically scheduling appointments according to the schedule template.
-Clearly communicating and documenting conversations with patients.
-Clearly communicating with the Dental Hygiene team and doctors.
-Identifying future open times in the schedule and addressing them in advance.
-Promoting our practice philosophy and building value in the services we provide.
WHAT ARE THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES?
*Schedule each hygienist to goal each day. If a daily goal is not reached, the weekly, and monthly goals must be considered to allow the practice to reach the maximum productivity for the month.
*Follow a schedule template to allow for consistency in procedures & production during the day.
EX. If an FMX was taken one year ago, the BW has to be updated from that time point.
EX. A patient CANNOT be on BOTH a prophy AND perio maintenance continuing care.
What needs to be done on a daily basis?
-All calls from Dental Intel must be made each day at a MINIMUM.
-If hygienists are not scheduled to goal for the next week, at least 30 reactivation calls for hygiene must be completed and documented each day.
- All calls to patients must be documented.
-Morning Huddle: Announce all openings for today and tomorrow, ID any family members due for hygiene, ID any appointed patients who are due for hygiene.
*This role requires a working knowledge and utilization of Dentrix, Dental Intel. All of these resources are essential to efficiently schedule hygiene.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
