Warehouse Lead

We are currently hiring a Warehouse Operator – Group Lead for Brunswick, GA.

Starting Pay $25.00 and shift differentials $1.50/hr for 3rd Shift.

Schedule: 8 shift, 3rd shift – 11pm – 7:30am

What will you do in this role?

• Prior work experience operating pallet jacks and forklifts in a warehousing/manufacturing setting
• The persons performing these tasks will spend most of the working shift standing. The shipping dock is maintained at approximately 40 degrees F and the freezer is maintained at -5 to 5. When traveling to other storage buildings in order to unload trucks of frozen ingredients, the associate will be in ambient temperatures.
• Works under the direction of the Team/Shift Leaders and Warehouse Manager, trains, directs, and follows up the day-to-day operations on assigned shift
• Performs safety inspections of work area and corrects those items within his/her scope and reports those that require additional action.
• Train and coach team members on how to work safely and efficiently, as well as develop future technical talent.
• Assists Team/Shift Leader or Warehouse Manager in communicating information on goals, measurements, and results, as well as general shipping information to team members and to other appropriate people in the facility daily and by special request.
• Contributes suggestions for work process improvements to Team/Shift Leaders and team members.

What does it take to be successful in this role?

• Must have previous supervisory or leadership experience in a warehouse, working with staff, carriers, other department supervisors. Will have responsibility to lead a team of 7 – 10 employees in the warehouse. (2-5 years preferred)
• Must have warehouse, industrial Lift experience, (pallet jack, Hi Lift, and sit-down forklifts)
• Must be comfortable working in a variety of temperatures (-10 degrees to room temperature)
• Willing and able to understand and accept instruction; follow directions, policies, have strong reading skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate others; develop team members to achieve results, and effectively communicate with peers and superiors.
• Strong problem solving and conflict-resolution capabilities.
• High School Diploma or GED. Some college is preferred.
