JOB SUMMARY:
The Warehouse Lead coordinates activities of and provides coaching and guidance to teammates in the warehouse. The Warehouse Lead works alongside and with the team, coaching teammates as needed to ensure maximum productivity. The Lead is responsible for following and enforcing all safety and company policies/procedures, as well as adherence to PPE/MHE policies, in cooperation with the supervisor. The Lead is required to be certified in operating all material handling equipment.
Schedule: 1pm - 9:30pm + Mandatory Overtime as needed (currently daily)
QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE:
- Lead shift to include assigning job functions to teammates, monitoring productivity, assigning teammates to tasks, and resolving process issues to meet DC KPI goals in On-Time Delivery, Shipping Accuracy, Overtime, and Productivity.
- Conduct daily shift start up meetings to review prior day performance and motivate teammates to achieve DC goals for the shift to include consistent progress status and productivity updates throughout the shift.
- Monitor and lead teams through assigned duties to meet productivity KPIs.
- Takes action to improve production methods and working conditions to increase efficiency of the warehouse.
- Resolves work issues and conflict through root cause analysis. Provides effective coaching to assist teammates in solving work problems and conflict.
- Manage shipping materials and supplies inventory in accordance with region and/or organizational procurement schedules.
- Ensures 100% compliance with company policies to include safety, attendance, harassment, and annual operational requirements.
- Effectively communicates across departments, functions, and DCs to ensure best practices are shared and implemented.
- Available to work OT or off hours to complete customer specific orders, to include holidays.
- May be asked to fill in for Supervisor as needed, includes covering other shifts.
- Performs additional duties as directed.
- Takes ownership of DC KPIs through one-on-one coaching of teammates on productivity, resolving smartsolve errors, and managing warehouse OT costs.
- Motivates teammates to achieve DC goals by setting the example, providing timely feedback and support teammate development.
- Assists in training new teammates, responsible for follow up training and ensuring adequate training is completed for each TMs.
- Participates in performance management for teammates. Communicates with supervisors, site leader, and HR regarding personnel issues and day to day operations.
- Maintains fulfillment of job pre-requisites.
QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE:
- HS Diploma or Equivalent
- 2 Years of Warehouse Experience (1 year with O&M preferred)
- 1 Year of People Leadership Experience preferred

- Experience with warehouse systems
- RF Scanners, Jennifer voice pick equipment, material handling equipment (to include hand truck, forklift/reach trucks, cherry pickers), stretch wrap machines, safety knives, safety harnesses, printers, and computers
- Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and up to 25 pounds frequently.

Pay: $21.51 - $28.18 per hour
