We are looking for experienced Warehouse Laborers to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, stocking, picking, packing, loading and shipping. Forklift experience: order picker, sit-down, reach.

We look for people with strong attention to detail, math and computer skills and those who can be at work consistently.This is an open-air warehouse environment in which employees work in extreme weather conditions: heat and cold, rain, snow, and ice. Moderate to heavy lifting is also necessary. If this is not the environment for you, please do not apply.

Job Description

General Summary: Assembles orders and prepares goods/materials for shipment. Completes shipping and receiving reports; unpacks materials and supplies; loads, unloads, and moves materials within warehouse and pipe yard.

Essential Job Functions:

· Must be able to follow oral and/or written instructions regarding materials and/or containers to be moved

· Receive purchase orders into the system for merchandise received or shipped

· Notifies purchasing or sales department of any shipping errors

· Safely lift materials to proper destination(s)

· Accurately count and record quantity of material on packing lists and puts stock in correct warehouse locations

· Assists in getting material for orders and attach identifying tags or labels

· Ability to safely operate truck, crane, or forklift

· Accountable for proper picking and packaging of materials to be shipped including, but not limited to, lining, padding, assembling cartons, wrapping protective material around product

· Ensures materials are labeled properly

· Promotes a positive image by ensuring work areas are clean and orderly

· Responsible for routine inventory maintenance, rotating stock, and spot stock checks

· Unloads daily motor carrier deliveries of stock material as needed

· Maintain all compliance records to include, but not limited to; vehicle maintenance inspections, MTR’s and process delivery tickets

· Ensure you’re practicing safety and wearing proper PPE while performing the above duties

· Continually cross train in pipe, Fab shop, shipping and receiving and will call counter

Other Responsibilities:

· Adhere to and promotes all company policies and procedures

· Perform other duties as assigned

· Drive company vehicle to make deliveries

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

Basic computer skills; E-mail, Order processing, Inventory, Epicor Solar Eclipse or other WMS software a plus.

Certificates and Licenses: Forklift preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
