The Role

We are looking for a Warehouse Kitter. This role plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our installation process by accurately assembling, organizing, and preparing products for the installation team to achieve the last mile initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a keen attention to detail, be able to collaborate with multiple team members, work independently, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This individual will also be responsible for all internal and rental equipment check out/return.

What you will do

 

~ Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Product Preparation: Assemble, inspect, and verify the quality of furniture products according to set guidelines and specifications in preparation for the installation team.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records by documenting products received, stored, and distributed. Collaborate with inventory control to ensure consistent stock levels and prevent discrepancies.
  • Kit Assembly: Prepare installation kits by selecting and gathering the required furniture pieces, hardware, tools, and accessories necessary for each project. Ensure all components are accounted for and in good condition.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough quality checks on all assembled kits to confirm that each item meets the established quality standards. Report any defects or issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Equipment: Complete daily equipment pulls, inspect equipment, rectify all returned equipment, responsible for renting equipment, and returning all rental equipment.
  • Organizational Skills: Utilize organizational systems and tools to efficiently locate, retrieve, and pack products. Maintain a clean and organized workspace to enhance productivity and safety.
  • Timely Delivery: Collaborate closely with the installation team to ensure that prepared kits are delivered to the appropriate location or loaded onto installation vehicles in a timely manner.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with the installation team to clarify kit contents, address any concerns, and provide necessary instructions for successful installations.
  • Safety Adherence: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries. Report any unsafe conditions or incidents to the supervisor immediately.
  • Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork, such as packing lists and delivery confirmations, accurately and promptly. Maintain comprehensive records of kit contents and deliveries.
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall quality of kit preparation and delivery processes.

 

What Success will look like

A successful Warehouse Kitter will cultivate business relationships with other departments within Workplace Resource and provide positive and effective representation with internal and external customers of our business.

 

Qualifications and/or Experience

The preferred candidate will hold a High School Diploma or (GED) or a minimum of 1 year working in a similar position preferably within the office furniture industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

  • Ability to use a forklift and order picking equipment and be able to pass certification testing (training will be provided if needed).
  • Physical ability to load and unload boxes with a weight no more than 50 pounds individually or 100 pounds team lift as well as climb stairs, be on feet majority of the day, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling furniture and related products.
  • Possesses adaptability, flexibility, integrity, work commitment, and understands what it takes to do quality work in a fast paced changing work environment.
  • Able to fulfill commitments consistently and reliably by being dependable and self-reliant.
  • Able to interact in a clear and compelling way that builds understanding and commitment with customers, coworkers, and approved subcontractors.
  • Cultivates relationships through teamwork and collaboration with customers, coworkers, and approved subcontractors.
  • Demonstrates initiative by recognizing opportunities or problems and takes appropriate action and reports that to the Logistics Manager.
  • Is aware of conditions that affect employee safety. Consistently behaves in a safe manner and encourages others to do the same.
  • Must have a current driver's license with a good driving record, as well as be able to operate a company vehicle within a 150 mile radius of Workplace Resource and can pass a drug screening.
  • Must be available to work irregular hours, including changes to daily start time and extended shifts that will be determined by the Logistics Manager and/or Installation Manager.
  • Able to accomplish desired results as well as contribute to a team effort.
  • Is aware of conditions that affect employee safety. Consistently behaves in a safe manner and encourages others to do the same.
  • Ability to pass pre employment background check, drug screening, and DOT physical/lift test (if applicable)

Pursuant to the Colorado Fair Pay Act, compensation for this role is market competitive, including an hourly pay range of $22.00 to $24.00.
