General Purpose of the Position:
Our Warehouse Inventory Technician will play central role in maintaining the operating rhythm for our warehouse/shop. This position is responsible for the daily receipts of all products entering the warehouse. Position also requires the inventory control of consumables and parts within the warehouse. This position reports directly to Warehouse supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day ins/outs of inventory with a direct report to the warehouse supervisor.
- Entering ERP system receipts of products with proper destination allocation.
- Provide Workshop Admin with correct receipts for ERP System
- Control inventory counts monthly.
- Provide Workshop Admin with correct Inventory
- Responsible for equipment, parts, and consumables ins/outs to and from projects.
- Weekly reports on minimum stock levels and re-ordering levels.
- Daily work helping with warehouse duties.
- Packing of trucks and/or crates for shipments
- Other typical warehouse functions
Skills and Abilities Required
- Obtain extensive familiarity with IGS equipment and project operations
- Demonstrate knowledge of IGS policies and procedures
- Knowledge of safety, health and environmental regulations
- Effective reporting, organizational communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be knowledgeable of principles and practices of facilities' operations and maintenance within the industries served
- Must work independently and display good judgement
- High level of self-sufficiency and initiative
- Ability to meet customer pre-access requirements such as occupational health examinations, training requirements, drug screens, background searches, etc.
- Able to stand for extended periods of time
- Understand cost management and optimization of expenditures
- Ability to work in an industrial environment
- Willing to learn and or follow in a Team Based environment.
- Must be fair, ethical, and a good listener.
- High physical effort and high level of physical exertion is required for this position - Lifting 50 lb
- Work is generally performed in a warehouse environment with seasonal temperature variations.
- Regular attendance is essential for satisfactory performance in this position, reliability is required.
- Great flexibility is required including the working of overtime to meet seasonal or other peak workload demands
Education and Experience Required
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1-5 years of basic equipment maintenance experience
