Job Description
Summary:
Compiles and maintains warehouse area. Keeps inventory area organized and safe, and ensures items are clearly labeled with part number and description. Counts components, equipment, and supplies in stock and posts totals to inventory records, manually or using computer. Fills, packages, and ships customer orders daily. Pulls parts needed for shop orders via a Pick List and issues parts using computer. Ensures shop orders are organized and arranged in Shop Order Staging Area for release to assembly. Supports shipping, receiving, and manufacturing as noted below.
Primary Duties:
- Pull and issue parts for shop orders
- Assemble repair kits
- Pull, package, and prepare outbound shipments daily
- Label inventory shelves, bins, and/or parts
- Ensure that all components removed from inventory area are accounted for via requisition
- Perform spot checks and cycle counts to obtain current inventory
- Investigate and correct inventory errors
- Stock inventory area, as needed
- Keep inventory room clean and orderly
- Maintain supply of packing materials for shipping
- Provide Backup for Receiving and Shipping
- Support the Shipping of Hazmat related products
Non-Essential Duties:
- Sign for and receive daily shipments and deliveries, as needed
- Assist equipment manufacturing as requested for hose assembly, painting of machined parts, tending machine center and tube manufacturing.
- Work with other departments to accomplish our goals and objectives
- Maintain cleanliness of shop work space and free of hazards
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Experience:
- Minimum high school education or equivalent
- Minimum of two (2) years’ work experience that validates work ethic required for job
