Warehouse Floater

The Warehouse Floater is an essential role for the Operations Department that is responsible for varied daily tasks such as, but not limited to, covering Day Warehouse functions 50% of the time, Driver Check In 25% of the time and Inbound Receiving 25% of the time. The Warehouse Floater will need to be able to change tasks with short notice depending on the volume of work, to cover breaks and vacation relief. The Warehouse Floater will report to the Day Warehouse Manager.

This is a full time position: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, must be available for On Call - will be notified with a minimum of 2 hours notice.

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receive and process warehouse stock products
• Inspect inventory for damages
• Report any discrepancies to Management
• Check in vendor drivers and assign dock
• Schedule delivery appointments for vendor drivers through DockVue
• Reschedule missed delivery appointments and inform vendor dispatch and Purchasing team
• Check-In of all product and paperwork from BiRite Drivers as they return from their routes
• Coding of Invoices and Return Paperwork
• Processing of Credits in the AS/400 system
• Research of Inventory Discrepancies
• Other tasks as assigned by the Day Warehouse Manager

Qualifications and Requirements:

• 2 years related warehouse experience, preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Great attention to detail
• Must report to work on time and every day
• Must be able to follow verbal instructions
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Excellent Verbal and Written skills preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Significant walking (up to 8 hours).
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, squat, push and/or pull, stand and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to use hands and fingers to drive, handle and feel.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment.
• Vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

Work Conditions:

• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud
• The temperature of the warehouse may be cold
• Will work in close proximity to other warehouse workers

Salary Range: $24 - $26 DOE

Work schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 am to 3:00 pm
