Warehouse Driver

The role of the Logistics Driver is essential to our company's daily operations. Responsibilities include safely delivering goods to customers and overseeing warehouse activities to ensure smooth functioning.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload trucks for customer deliveries and transfers to other branch locations.
• Drive company vehicles for customer deliveries and stock pick-ups, adhering to traffic laws and safety procedures.
• Maintain appropriate licensing, credentials, and a clean driving record.
• Conduct oneself in a professional and ethical manner, treating customers and associates with courtesy and respect.
• Fill customer orders by retrieving material and ensuring accurate quantities and quality.
• Maintain clear aisles and walkways in the warehouse and ensure proper material organization.
• Assist in maintaining the branch appearance by cleaning warehouse areas and bathroomsProvide assistance to customers, update product knowledge, and stay informed about inventory.
• Participate in ongoing education and training sessions as directed.
• Report back orders or discrepancies and perform required cycle counts.
• Perform vehicle and/or forklift inspections as required and schedule routine maintenance.
• Assist in monthly physical inventories at branch locations.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations, informing the manager of any potentially hazardous conditions.
• Adhere to all rules and regulations outlined in the company handbook.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and the ability to maintain appropriate licensing and credentials.
• Previous experience in logistics, delivery, or warehouse operations preferred.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
• Proficiency in following safety protocols and adhering to traffic laws while driving company vehicles.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately check and organize inventory.
• Professional demeanor with the ability to interact courteously and respectfully with both external customers and internal associates.
