Your responsibilities
SUMMARY:The primary responsibilities of this position is scheduling deliveries, receiving direct inbound material and to pull finished goods in FIFO order to prep for customer shipments by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Provide samples of material to incoming inspection
- Put away stock
- Perform cycle counts on raw material
- Troubleshoot and correct material transfer issues
- Perform direct material inbound receipts
- Perform large and small market material transfers
- Act as liaison between warehouse and production facilities
- Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
- Pull finished good stock in FIFO order
- Prep finished goods for customer shipments per customer requirements
- Ensure all internal labels are removed from product shipping to customer
- Ensure all containers are properly banded or strapped as required by customer
- Ensure all customer labels are properly attached to outbound freight according to customer specifications
- To assist in cycle counts
- Responsible for proper placement and stocking of empty finished good dunnage
- Maintains a working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.
Your profile
Education and/or Experience:
- High school degree or equivalent
- 2 years of warehouse/forklift experience required
