St. Andrew’s School is seeking a Warehouse Coordinator to support the school. St. Andrew’s was founded in 1929 as an independent, Episcopal boarding school. The school educates about 315 students from around the world each year in an all-residential setting, and has a long-standing commitment to financial aid and socioeconomic diversity. This will be a 40-hour position working 8 am to 4:30 pm year-round. This position will control the warehouse inventory by coordinating the movement of packages and mail to and from the school. A typical day is 300-500 packages, during holidays and set events it can be up to 700 packages a day. This position will also assist in the facilities department and provide backup support to central services.
Essential Functions
- Pick up, load, and move shipments of packages and mail to the school
- Store shipments in designated storage areas which may require usage of the forklift.
- Document actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records; maintain databases.
- Monitor inventory in the package room, facilities storage, and cleaning supplies.
- Assigned tickets to deliver supplies such as printer paper on campus.
- Facilities care tech support completing a variety of cleaning tasks, including but not limited to the following: cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning screens and windows, removing garbage, sweeping and mopping floors.
- Assist in setting up special events, which will include moving tables, chairs, and furniture.
- Assembling office furniture and other small projects.
- Support facilities on small projects and repairs to campus equipment. Using basic tools and equipment.
- Provide backup support for central services using the Verkada system, sorting packages, preparing products for shipment, and sending mail and packages using the postage machine, certified mail, and FedEx shipping.
Job Requirements:
- Possession of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Fork Lift certified.
- At least one year of warehouse experience.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Physical Demands:
- Intermittent physical activity including standing, kneeling, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 75 lbs.
Conditions of Hire:
- A thorough background check, inclusive of fingerprinting and Child Protection Registry Check, is required as a condition of employment.
- Applicant must complete satisfactory reference checks, confirmation of compliance with federal and state employment laws, and any other required condition of employment.
- A physical and drug screen is also required.
