Description
The Warehouse Coordinator is a critical member of the operations team and supports the Disassembly Center with inventory, packaging, storage, movement, and shipping/transportation of aircraft components, as well as building and fabricating crates that meet all industry standards for transport and storage.
Responsibilities
- Build crates to specifications for items to be shipped.
- Assist with loading and unloading shipments onto or from delivery vehicles, trailers, and containers.
- Aid with inventory when needed.
- Utilizes Industry and UAM resources to identify and verify components.
- Provide professional communication to both internal and external clients.
- Transporting parts/crates to/from UAM distribution center.
- Transporting shipments to applicable ship centers.
- Assist in the scrapping of assets deemed scrap, BER and/or unsalvageable.
- Disassemble sub-assembly components as required.
- Perform all tasks as assigned by the Supervisor to help ensure projects are conducted IAW OSHA and all, industry (AFRA/ASA), local, state and federal regulations (FAA).
- Champion the UAM brand values, people values, community initiatives, demonstrating the vision for others, and acting as a role model both within UAM and externally.
- Assist in material control and labor efficiency.
- Maintain a facility of safety and ensure a safety-oriented culture.
- Perform other duties as assigned management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have strong craftsman skills and be able to operate equipment such as hand and power tools.
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Work well against critical deadlines with the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to follow instructions and take directions from management.
- Ability to pass background and drug screening.
- Forklift experience (not required but is a plus)
- Warehouse and inventory experience (not required but is a plus)
