Job Description
We are currently hiring for a Warehouse Associate at our Wichita office. This role will include daily warehouse activities and function as a warehouse team member. The warehouse is responsible for the efficient, timely, and accurate supply of products to customer accounts. Additionally, some minor assembly and machine operation is included in this role.
The primary job responsibilities will be:
- Receiving, picking, shipping, minor assembling, and delivering electrical automation parts to our local customers.
- Daily cycle counts and annual inventory.
- Contribute to the success of Thorp Controls as a whole by actively looking for methods to improve Thorp Control's service to our customers.
Requirements:
- Must be able to occasionally lift and move up to 75 pounds (unassisted) and stand, sit, bend, kneel, squat, and walk for long periods.
- Must be comfortable working from a mobile device and learning new software applications.
- Have a valid driver's license and be able to drive a delivery vehicle daily on local routes. (No CDL required)
- This position will require excellent attendance and punctuality.
- It will also require basic math skills, being comfortable learning new software programs, working autonomously, attention to detail and multi-tasking.
Additional information:
- Product knowledge is not required, and previous experience is also not needed, but both will be considered in evaluating pay with compensation starting at $16-18/hr. Hours will be 40/week with occasional overtime opportunities, but the typical shift is 7:30-4:30 M-F.
- After different enrollment periods, this position will be eligible for additional company compensation benefits, including Quarterly Bonus, Profit Sharing, 401k matching, and HSA contributions.
