Warehouse Associate, Ft, Raleigh Dc #600

Warehouse Associates form part of Stocking, Shipping, or Express teams and may rotate among teams to stage, stock, pull, and package products for distribution to various Stores.  

• Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Receive, stock and fill parts orders with a high degree of accuracy, speed and efficiency
  • Learn new part numbers as they are introduced and shelve logically
  • Follow correct procedures for operating material handling equipment and ensure palletizing of parts are done safely and efficiently. 
  • Identify damage or shortages to incoming shipments and note on bill of laden
  • Use scan gun to check inventory accurately and to effectively take inventory
  • Stage product on pallets, shrink wrap to prevent loss, and load pallets on trucks.
  • Keeps work area clean to avoid potential accidents and to allow for rapid loading.
  • Fill in as express driver when needed.
  • Works in a safe manner following all safety procedures, rules and regulations. Notify DC management of stock, forklift or building damage, or any matters of concern.
  • Help team members maintain a clean, organized floor
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
  • Complete all napatraining.com courses as deemed necessary by management.
  • Understand, keep up to date and adhere to all Walker Auto Stores company policies.

Must be able to work weekends and evenings as required. The noise level in the work environment is frequently moderate to loud.

• The employee may further be required to:
  • Stand and be on feet for 6-8 hours.
  • Lift a maximum of 50 pounds from floor to truck bed height (3-4 ft)
  • Bend and lift 30 pounds from floor to overhead 5-10 times daily.
  • Ability to squat and work at 1-3 ft height for extended periods.
  • Bend and twist 20-30 times daily while carrying a load of 20 pounds.  
  • Utilize Material Handling Equipment.
  • Work in non-temperature controlled environments.
  • Not be under influence of any medicine/drugs prescribed or otherwise that might impair driving, judgement, or reaction time.
