We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Associate to join our client's team in Durham, NC. The primary responsibility of the Warehouse Associate role is to efficiently and safely handle incoming and outgoing materials within the warehouse facility. Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials, ensuring accuracy and completeness of deliveries.
- Safely and efficiently unload materials from delivery vehicles using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
- Sort and organize materials within the warehouse according to predetermined storage procedures.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by conducting regular cycle counts and reconciling discrepancies.
- Prepare materials for outbound shipment by picking, packing, and staging items according to order requirements.
- Load outgoing materials onto delivery vehicles, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
- Operate warehouse equipment in a safe and responsible manner, following all relevant safety protocols and procedures.
- Keep warehouse clean and organized, including sweeping, mopping, and disposing of debris.
- Assist in maintaining a safe working environment by identifying and reporting any hazards or safety concerns.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve daily operational goals and targets.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the overall efficiency of the warehouse.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (Various Shifts Available)
Skills:
- Proven experience working in a warehouse or similar environment preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, up to 50 pounds, on a regular basis.
- Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials and maintaining inventory records.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management software is a plus.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for oneself and fellow team members.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Ability to climb ladders and operate warehouse equipment safely.
- Ability to work in various temperature conditions within the warehouse environment.
