We are looking for a hard-working Warehouse Associate to help us in our warehouse. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving, labeling, and storing incoming shipments, assessing stock for damages, keeping a concise record of inventory, and accurately prepping orders for fabrication.
A successful Warehouse Associate is hard-working, organized and detail oriented. You should be able to keep good records and keep track of incoming and outgoing stock to ensure inventory levels remain steady.
In this fast-paced position, exceptional customer service skills are non-negotiable, as well as the innate ability to multitask. This is a labor-intensive position, and you will be on your feet for the majority of the business day lifting, loading and unloading material consistently.
Responsibilities:
- Receiving, processing, labeling, and storing incoming stock.
- Maintaining clear records on all inventory and stock.
- Inspecting all stock for damage and keeping records of damages.
- Organizing the warehouse space.
- Develop and track same day, live Inventory stock records.
- Identify shortages and replenish stock supply in a timely matter.
- Preparing orders for fabrication and shipment.
- Recording exact arrival and departure times for shipments.
- Operating stock management tools; for example, a forklift.
- Counting stock and keeping inventory records.
- Pull orders for customers and the fabrication team.
- Oversees safe and efficient movement of goods and equipment on the premises.
- Loading, unloading and movement of materials on the premises utilizing material handling equipment and machinery.
- Oversees receiving of shop materials and instructs yard workers in receiving and storage procedures.
- Ensures all forklift inspections are performed monthly.
- Ensures outside areas are kept neat and clean and scraps and yard debris are appropriately recycled or disposed and reports safety hazards and handles remedial action.
- Responsible for following and enforcing all safety rules and policies.
- Additional job responsibilities to be determined by Manager.
- Lifting up to 75 lbs. as needed
Qualifications:
A successful candidate will have a positive attitude, is attentive to detail, and can effectively manage their time. Additionally, this job requires:
- Ability to work independently & problem solve
- Computer skills and Microsoft Office experience
- Ability to learn & adapt to shipping software
- High school diploma or equivalent GED required
- Ability to maintain a high level of physicality for prolonged periods and working primarily standing
- Interpersonal skills are essential, as we work as a team
- Mechanical aptitude preferred
- 3 plus years of Warehouse/ inventory management preferred.
- 1 Plus years of supervisor experience.
