Warehouse Associate
JOB SUMMARY
The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for ensuring that all product is processed through the various tasks within the normal day-to-day production operations.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory records and data
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile any discrepancies
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
- Assist in production planning to optimize inventory levels and minimize stockouts
- Utilize financial modeling and analytics to forecast demand and optimize inventory levels
- Implement and maintain effective inventory control procedures and policies
- Monitor and analyze inventory metrics to identify areas for improvement
- Utilize data visualization tools to present inventory data in a clear and concise manner
- Pulling orders to be shipped
- Pulling work orders to the shop
- Pulling work orders related to the warehouse, such as; kits, parts that need to go to outside processes (ACT, ACCUCUT, Micron, ETC.)
- Coordinating with the machine shop and assembly on needed parts
- Receiving parts that have been processed through QC and processing to the next step
- Package parts for shipment according to customer specific guidelines and internal packaging guidelines
- Receiving parts in from vendors and moving them to the next step in the process (QC, or placing raw materials in their locations)
- Shipping of daily Sales orders
- Driver (taking parts to and from local outside vendors)
- Must adhere to all company safety standards
- Must provide support to other departments on an as needed basis
- All must work towards and support the overall Prolec-GE Waukesha, Inc. goal of 100% accurate inventory
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Proven experience in inventory control or supply chain management role
- Must possess comprehensive knowledge of warehouse procedures (pulling parts, packaging parts, shipping and receiving of parts, ETC.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to prioritize and organize work related tasks and special projects
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
- May be required to work overtime
- Must demonstrate the ability to operate appropriate shipping software, i.e. UPS, FEDEX, etc.
- Must reach a level II qualification within a maximum of 2 years in an effort to continuously improve the overall strength of the team and avoid complacency
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required Education / Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Texas Driver’s License and a clean motor vehicle report
Preferred Education / Experience
- 3 years warehouse experience
