We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Asociate to join our team. The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for performing various tasks related to receiving, storing, fulfilling purchase orders, shipping and delivering goods, and keeping the warehouse stocked with essential equipment and parts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:
- RECEIVING: Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against packing slips or purchase orders, and inspect for damages or discrepancies. Unload trucks and containers using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks as needed.
- INVENTORY MANAGEMENT: Store received items in designated locations within the warehouse, ensuring proper organization and accessibility. Maintain accurate inventory records by recording incoming and outgoing shipments, updating inventory databases, ensuring stock is labeled correctly and conducting regular cycle counts.
- PICKING & PACKING: Fulfill customer orders by picking items from inventory and cutting materials according to order specifications. Pack items securely for delivery, ensuring proper packaging and labeling to prevent damage during transit.
- DELIVERY PREPARATION: Assist with loading trucks with outgoing orders. Serve as a backup to the delivery driver.
- HOUSEKEEPING & MAINTENANCE: Keep the warehouse, pallet area and workstation clean, organized and free of debris by performing regular housekeeping tasks. Perform basic maintenance tasks on warehouse equipment and machinery, reporting any issues to the General Manager.
- SAFETY COMPLIANCE: Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines, including use of personal protective equipment and safe operation of equipment. Participate in safety/equipment training sessions and contribute to maintaining a safe work environment for all team members.
- OTHER TASKS AS ASSIGNED
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a warehouse or similar environment preferred
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, often weighing up to 50 pounds
- Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks and hand trucks
- Basic math skills and ability to count and record inventory
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Valid drivers license
- Must be able to pass a US DOT medical examiner's physical
- Must be able to operate a motor vehicle
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Frequently operate a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, printer, etc.
- Frequently operate a forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck
- Occasionally exposed to outside elements/conditions
- Occasionally climb, lift, carry, stoop, bend, kneel, and reach.
HOURS: Monday - Friday, 7am - 5pm, with a 30 minute lunch (47.5 hrs/week)
