Job Overview: We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, managing, organizing, and retrieving stock in the warehouse. The Warehouse Associate will play a crucial role in maintaining an efficient and organized warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
Receiving and Inspection:
- Receive incoming shipments, verifying the accuracy of contents against packing slips.
- Inspect received goods for damages and report discrepancies or damages promptly.
- Label and organize stock in designated storage areas.
Order Picking and Packing:
- Accurately pick items from shelves or storage areas based on customer orders.
- Pack orders securely to prevent damage during transit.
- Verify the accuracy of packed orders before shipping.
Shipping:
- Prepare and complete orders for shipment according to schedule.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers and ensure timely dispatch of orders.
- Maintain shipping and receiving logs, recording all relevant information.
Inventory Management:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and assist in periodic physical inventory checks.
- Update inventory records using computerized systems.
- Monitor stock levels and report low inventory levels to supervisors.
Maintaining Clean and Safe Workspace:
- Keep the warehouse clean and organized, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including the proper use of equipment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in warehouse operations preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Proficient in using inventory management software.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Team player with effective communication and collaboration abilities.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or similar role is an asset.
Working Conditions:
- Fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
