SUMMARY
Responsible for carrying out duties in support of the shipping and receiving of parts and related equipment for the stockroom.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations relating to searching, loading, unloading, and shipping equipment and parts in a warehouse/stockroom environment is required. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form is required.

The employee is frequently exposed to the manufacturing shop environment, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment in the shop is sometimes very loud.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Unload trailers and trucks of materials and parts ordered by the Purchasing Department.
- Input information into the computer system regarding parts received.
- Store and locate material in the stockroom for various departments.
- Build skids or crates using nail gun and other tools.
- Box materials and parts for shipment.
- Expedite material from Manufacturing Department to meet sales order requirements.
- Load materials and parts on trucks for shipment.
- Must be able to safely operate a forklift and golf cart in order to transport parts and materials on company property.
- General housekeeping duties to keep warehouse and aisles clean and free of clutter and materials.
- Follow company policies and procedures at all times.
- Follow proper safety rules and procedures at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS
None.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES
- High school diploma or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Minimum of three years experience in a shipping environment, to include forklift operations, is required.
- Knowledge of basic computer operations required.
- Ability to read and interpret shipping papers, invoices, and warehouse procedures required.
- Ability to communicate by telephone in order to receive and respond to shipping phone calls required.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic math required.
- Must be able to work satisfactorily as a team member.
- Must be able to meet regular attendance requirements.
- Some overtime required
