Job Title: PTR Warehouse – Warehouse Assistant

SUMMARY:
A working position which will work underneath the guidance of the Warehouse Supervisor and Warehouse Assistant Supervisor.
RELATIONSHIPS: Please see PTR’s Organizational Chart included in your new hire paperwork for specific relationships.
AUTHORITY: This individual has authority over no other employee but may ask others within their department to help them with tasks. Please see PTR’s organizational chart for more detailed information.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Will include the following but is not limited to:
Ø Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery areas.
Ø Receives shipments and documents accordingly
Ø Works with the Warehouse Supervisor and follows the shipping schedule
Ø Must be able to operate fork truck.
Ø Driver’s license required for box truck movements between the production plant and warehouse.
Ø Arriving at work on time for every scheduled shift.
Ø Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times.
Ø Strict adherence to all PTR and OSHA safety rules and regulations

PREFFERED QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Ø Preferred minimum 1-yr warehouse/processing experience.
Ø Driver’s license
Ø Fork truck certification preferred, but willing to train on the job.
Ø Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ø Ability to write routine reports and correspondence as necessary to properly fill out production reports and to request additional support as needed.
Ø Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
**If candidates do not meet all of the above requirements, at its discretion PTR can provide additional training in the appropriate areas for job qualification.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The associate frequently is required to sit, walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl to support production needs.
The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 45 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision (with or without corrective lenses), and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Warehouse/manufacturing environment. Limited office environment
