Responsibilities

• As a warehouse specialist, you will help to manage the Greenway warehouse, pick and ship orders to job sites and ensure that all project materials and ready and accounted for every time.
• The warehouse specialist will also work closely with project designers to maintain an accurate inventory and order product as needed to enable Greenway to meet installation schedules and commitments.

Inventory Management:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records for solar, electrical, and roofing equipment.
• Implement and manage inventory control measures to minimize discrepancies and ensure availability for project needs.

Logistics and Distribution:

• Coordinate the shipping and receiving of solar and roofing equipment and components.
• Optimize transportation logistics to meet project timelines and minimize costs.
• Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment for solar installation projects.

Quality Control:

• Implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure the condition and functionality of solar products.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any issues affecting product quality.

Space Utilization:

• Maximize warehouse space for efficient storage of equipment.
• Implement effective organization and layout strategies to streamline workflows.

Technology and Systems:

• Utilize warehouse management systems and other technology to track inventory and manage operations.
• Stay informed about advancements in solar industry logistics and warehouse management technology.

Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards related to the storage and handling of solar materials.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols in line with solar industry best practices.

Communication:

• Collaborate with operations managers, project managers, installation teams, and Procurement to ensure seamless coordination of materials for solar projects.
• Communicate effectively with suppliers, manufacturers, and transportation providers.

Process Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process improvement in solar warehouse operations.
• Implement efficiency measures to enhance productivity and reduce costs.

Reporting:

• Generate and analyze reports on solar inventory levels, distribution timelines, and other key performance indicators.
• Provide regular updates to senior management on warehouse performance.
• Clearly communicate and coordinate with subcontractors, general contractors, clients, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Experience working in and/or managing a warehouse preferred.
• At least 2 years’ work experience.
• Experience using a forklift in tight spaces.
• Passionate about our company and desire to grow.
• Detail oriented and highly organized with exceptional follow-through abilities.
• Ability to effectively prioritize with strong time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Solar experience a plus.
• Ability to handle and manage change effectively and efficiently.
• Positive attitude and team player.

Additional Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the USA. No third parties, please. Greenway is an equal opportunity employer.
• You must be willing to obtain OSHA 10 hour safety certification.
• Have an OSHA-approved forklift operator certification or willingness to do so upon hire.
• Able to travel to job sites in Minnesota and regionally; occasional overnight travel may also be required.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, climb, squat, reach, and kneel.
• Willing to work overtime and outdoors in inclement weather.
• Work at height (roofs, ladders, etc.) and in confined spaces as needed.
