Warehouse Administrative Shipping Support

Wage: $17+/hr based on experience and shift 
Shift: 1st or 2nd shifts available. 
Location: Grand Rapids
The Administrative Support Customer Service position is responsible for the clerical operations necessary in shipping and receiving operations in a warehouse environment which can include phone calls, emails, processing paperwork and filing. To maintain positive customer relationships and handle customer issues with speed and professionalism. Knowledge of several computer software applications including, but not limited to; Synapse, MAVES, SAP, AX, Word, Excel and Yard view trailer tracker, is critical to data entry, keeping the flow of material moving efficiently in and out of the warehouse and troubleshooting customer related problems. Support personnel must be able and willing to help out where necessary to prevent warehouse issues.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Work with the production to handle incoming and outgoing trucks for shipment 
• Complete bill of lading's (BOL) for outbound material
• Coordinate transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments. 
• Have strong knowledge of Knowledge of applicable software; Maves, SAP, Yardview, AX, Excel, Word
• Review shipping documents to ensure accuracy 
• Other administrative duties as follows: 
  1. Answer and direct phone calls
  2. Communicate clearly with other facilities
  3. Manage email flow
  4. Data entry
  5. Process receipts
  6. Respond to customer inquiries
  7. Proactively provide information to customers when issues occur
  8. Process, sort and distribute inbound and outbound paperwork
  9. Create orders
  10. Create spreadsheets
  11. Photocopy, scan, file and or fax documents
  12. Prepare for audits
  13. Check materials and labels if they do not match the BOL's
  14. Scrap reports
  15. Trouble shoot product issues, inventory discrepancies and computer issues as they occur
  16. Follow all safety and security procedures
  17. Morale booster and team player
  18. Cycle counting for customers monthly inventory
  19. Railcar tracking and ordering on CSX website
  20. Handle miscellaneous issues as they occur
  21. Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; Listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions.
