VP : Supply Chain Engineering
Summary
The primary responsibility of the VP: Supply Chain Engineering is to analyze and improve the processes of the company's industrial supply chain by using engineering principles, plan modeling and analytics to optimize processes, improve production efficiency and quality and reduce cost. The VP: Supply Chain Engineering will perform all aspects of analysis and continuous improvement in the implementation of supply chain processes, including but not limited to:

Summary
The primary responsibility of the VP: Supply Chain Engineering is to analyze and improve the processes of the company's industrial supply chain by using engineering principles, plan modeling and analytics to optimize processes, improve production efficiency and quality and reduce cost. The VP: Supply Chain Engineering will perform all aspects of analysis and continuous improvement in the implementation of supply chain processes, including but not limited to:
- Use diagnostic information gathering to design improvements to existing supply chain processes; analyze supply and production metrics to implement strategic and operational direction for operational logistics and inventory management.
- Define, design and implement supply chain processes and resource allocation to ensure the correct quantities of the correct components are ordered at the correct time to be available for each step of the manufacturing process when needed.
- Analyze current production needs and develop projections for supply chain requirements of time, cost, engineering compliance and quality; develop and implement strategies to improve same for current and future production.
- Ensure that Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) matches production demand for maximum efficiency, cost optimization and reduction of excess inventory.
- Identify actual or potential logistics and operational delays, assess causes of same, and implement logistics or operational solutions across two manufacturing plants.
- Implement standard processes, logistics cost reductions, category management, inventory tracking and stock movement across entire supply chain.
- Assess quality, cost and delivery metrics of suppliers to improve overall performance, mitigate risk and optimize supply.
- Design and implement execution of a global supply chain strategy in order to reduce inventory cycle times, align resources with strategic objectives, and maintain/ improve QAD strategic sourcing parameters. Collaborate with engineers, technicians, analysts and others to align supply chain and production processes.
Preferred Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering or other related Engineering discipline.
- 15+ years' work experience in global supply chain & procurement, sourcing and quality control
- Automotive experience, preferably in the commercial vehicle category
- Excellent analytic, written and oral communication skills
- Ability to effectively communicate well with all levels of the organization
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Proven ability to drive cohesion and collaboration among different people and functions
