Vp, Risk Management - Insights & Challenge - C13 (Hybrid)

The Insights & Challenge team under the Risk Program Management Office supports a diverse range of programs and processes championing the firm's transformation efforts for the Risk organization. The candidate is a strategic professional who draws insights based on analysis of program related data and who will help support governance and reporting, ad hoc program requests, and other duties as needed. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and persuade others, as internal stakeholders are often members of senior management across lines of defense, businesses, and functions.
Responsibilities:

• Manages a large multi-faceted program or multiple projects at the same time.
• Assesses potential program risks, articulates and identifies root cause of problems, and determines appropriate path to mitigation which may include escalation as needed.
• Analyzes cross-program / cross-function dependencies to highlight potential downstream impacts.
• Reviews stakeholder updates (e.g., status) for clarity and consistency to support management reporting.
• Applies a proactive approach in routinely tracking progress against program goals.
• Organizes new solutions to drive business results.
• Defines, teaches, and enforces the use of good program management practices such as techniques in resolving complex, interdependent activities into tasks and sub-tasks that are documented, monitored, and controlled.
• Proactively follows escalation and change control processes.
• Promotes good working relationships across stakeholders and team members.
• Uses best practice PMO methodology to create a project plan to fit stakeholder/customer needs.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of project management experience - preferably from a financial services or consulting environment.
• Ability to develop project plans, manage individual deadlines and goals.
• Knowledge of project metrics, including reporting and trend analysis.
• Ability to identify issues and problems, generate solutions, and choose appropriate alternatives using basic root cause analysis.
• Manage project scope by assessing changes in requirements, determining and conveying impact on budget, time and risk.
• Manage client expectations, anticipate operational and tactical risks and track them; clarify, identify, and track requirements and issues, remove barriers, resolve minor project issues and escalate to immediate manager where required.
• Proficient in MS Office applications i.e., Excel and PPT
• Stays abreast of current industry trends and new technology through professional associations, trade journals, networking, and associated training and seminars.
