Job description
Under general supervision, uses knowledge and skills obtained through education and/or experience, training and/or certification to assist in multiple projects and tasks with moderate scope and impact in support of Risk Management of the Raymond James Financial Services'(RJFS) business, specifically the Independent Contractor Business (ICD) and Financial Institutions Business (FID). Recommends process improvements for departmental and business unit processes, as well as procedures to improve internal controls and mitigation strategies. Resolves or recommends solutions to complex problems in a high-paced environment. Assists in managing the business unit's Risk & Control Self Assessment (RCSA), as well as business metric tracking and reporting. Balances business concerns and initiatives while maintaining a ‘big picture' orientation from the Risk Management perspective. Individual will engage with partners throughout the Private Client Group (PCG) business, RJFS business, Supervision, Compliance, across risk and communications functions, and in other business units to assist with executing communication and governance activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Develop and assist Risk Management programs for RJFS business, including but not limited to management reporting, initiative and issue tracking, risk analysis, and project management.
· Partners and collaborates with other internal stakeholders to ensure delivery of a cohesive product.
· Creates materials and ensures consistency in content and structure for RJFS business Risk Management reports and presentations, such as monthly presentations to senior leadership, metric reports, internal and fraud loss reports, etc.
· Supports RJFS business leadership with preparation of Risk Management reviews and assessments and communicates critical action items in a timely manner.
· Develops and maintains an in-depth understanding of business processes, products, and supporting functions.
· Proactively engage, collaborate and influence business partners in the adoption of identified opportunities to create or enhance a control or process.
· Ability to balance legitimate business limitations and concerns while maintaining the support the Risk Management initiatives require.
· Tracks evolving regulatory changes and market events impacting the business and shares upcoming changes with leadership
· Identifying risks and controls; recommending appropriate actions/revisions to resolve any identified gaps or mitigate risk.
· Balances conflicting priority demands and allocates resources accordingly.
· Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiencies with current processes and procedures.
· Participates in meetings related to business, supervision, compliance, legal and regulatory risk.
· Effectively collaborates with a variety of internal and external stakeholders in a variety of communication mediums.
· Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge of:
· Fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of Risk Management and risk assessment.
· Fundamental concepts of financial markets and products.
· Fundamental subject matter expertise associated with Private Client Group business functions.
· Business unit's working structure and strategies.
Skill in:

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) in related field with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in the financial, retirement and estate planning field or in marketing these services.
