As a Vice President in Global Security and Investigations leading our regional operations teams, you will be working in an industry-leading collaborative, fast-paced environment and will have the opportunity to shape sound security practices and protocols for the firm. The VP, Security Operations is a meaningful, forward facing Brand Ambassador for Global Security and Investigations and ensures that the regional US centric teams exude professionalism and demonstrate outstanding customer service and emergency response capabilities!
The Purpose of Your Role
- Manages a team of senior security leaders with oversight of our regional operations, assigns and supervises day to day activities and projects, goal setting, performance management and assessment, and career development
- Support senior management by identifying risks and ensuring the smooth continuance of business functions and integrations with all Technical Security and Life Safety platforms across the enterprise
- Provide continual improvement around technical solutions in line with the market, to automate processes and dynamically enhance productivity
- Prepare executive level reports to track and meet project targets and budgets, call out issues and roadblocks, and recommend solutions to resolve challenges
- Lead working groups to address Security Operations, strategies, risks, and product support as needed
- Manage the firm's contracted operational security vendors within the regions
- Act as a Thought Leader to drive problem solving and identify business solutions
- Support the implementation of strong governance structures for all security platforms, data and operations
- Lead and manage a large matrixed team in line with company standards
- Complete any other duties or projects as directed by the Head of GSI
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Undergraduate degree
- 10+ years of experience reflecting deep understanding of physical/personal security principles
- Experience managing large professional security teams providing executive support, protective driving, protective advances, security at major events/large meetings, crisis response, emergency medical response, and comprehensive risk assessments with commensurate ever-evolving risk mitigation strategies and protocols
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Outstanding analytical, oral and written communication, presentation, influence and organization skills
- Subject matter expertise on current and emerging security technologies
- Organizational management including strategic planning, budgeting, project management, professional development and process improvements
- Ability to navigate sensitive and complex organizational, management and employee matters with a strong commitment to accuracy and excellence
- Establishes and maintains relationships with executives and key partners
- Your ability to effectively interact and communicate with senior level management
- You have experience and a passion for working across teams and building relationships
- You have the ability to influence and lead diverse groups who may have competing interests
- You are a thoughtful, articulate and persuasive leader who can serve as an effective member of the senior operations management team
- You have the strong ability to communicate operational security-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff
- You are flexible and adept at using individual skills to achieve team goals.
