Job description

Diamond Foundry Inc. is solving the thermal limitation at the foundation of today's most exciting tech industries -- AI & cloud compute, electric-car power electronics, and 5G/6G wireless. We have managed to produce the world's first single-crystal diamond wafers and are now on a mission to put a diamond behind every chip. We are the rare unicorn that has grown fast and profitably. We received $515m in funding and are executing a multi-$B expansion plan for one of the greenest forms of tech manufacturing: converting greenhouse gas into diamond wafers using zero-emission energy.

Reporting to the EVP Operations, the VP of Quality will build and lead Diamond Foundry's Quality team, establish a robust quality culture and infrastructure across the company, and achieve world-class quality levels on single-crystal diamond wafers delivered to leading semiconductor and automotive customers.
Responsbilities:
    • Lead Diamond Foundry's quality initiatives in a highly dynamic organization including manufacturing and R&D across several sites globally-with more sites being added over the coming years (including the Spain factory currently under construction).
    • Achieve outstanding diamond wafer quality for Diamond Foundry's best-in-class customers as output and revenue grow rapidly to serve mega tech industries (e.g., semiconductor and EV).
    • Develop, improve and deploy quality strategies, systems and methods including:  comprehensive quality management system; strong quality culture; continuous improvement; key ISO, IATF and AEC certifications/qualifications; SPC; quality training; and quality assessments, scorecards & reviews (including for suppliers providing parts for Diamond Foundry's proprietary processing systems).
    •  Play a key role on the Operations management team formulating strategy and objectives.
    • Collaborate with teams across the organization and communicate frequently with executives, including the CEO.
Requirements:
    • 8+ years experience as a quality Director/Manager.
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field. Master's degree and extensive Lean Six Sigma experience with related certifications preferred.
    • Demonstrated deep knowledge of quality management with broad experience managing quality across multiple production and R&D sites globally, building quality infrastructure in a rapidly growing environment, and achieving best-in-class results.
    • Extensive quality experience working in the semiconductor or automotive industry strongly preferred.
    • Based at the Diamond Foundry South San Francisco (CA), Fremont (CA) or Wenatchee (WA) site.
$180,000 - $230,000 a year
The position is eligible for company shares. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to a candidate's job duties, experience, and location. We will also consider higher-level candidates and salary will be adjusted accordingly.
