The VP directs and oversees BCRs operational functions, policies, objectives, and initiatives. They are responsible for evaluating current and proposed systems and procedures to determine and implement change as necessary.
The successful candidate should be customer focused with respect to both project management and customer support. Familiarity with municipal and industrial practices and procedures will be important. This position should rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish established goals. The VP leads and directs multiple functions; including Field Service, Contract Administration, Sourcing, Project Management, Information Technology, and Accounting. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
The primary focus of the VP will be to focus on ensuring internal operational excellence while improving supplier relationships through strategic alliance agreements. Ideally, BCR would prefer a candidate who not only has a strong financial background but also demonstrated experience in a GM or similar BU leader role. From a disposition standpoint, BCR is looking for a stable, calm, effective, and loyal leader who possesses tremendous grit and builds trust at all levels of the organization.
This position reports directly to the CEO.
Key Objectives:
- Collaborate with Senior Leadership in setting and driving organizational vision, operations strategy, and hiring levels
- Translate strategy into actionable steps for growth, implementing organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operations planning
- Oversee company operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive, family-oriented culture that ensures team members can thrive and organizational goals are met
- Ensure effective recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and retention
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze internal operations and identify areas for process improvement
- Implement business strategies and plans that align with the short and long-term objectives developed in tandem with CEO
- Collaborate with Engineering and Project Management to identify key suppliers, develop relationships and negotiate mutually beneficial long-term alliance agreements
- Manage Field Services to ensure high responsiveness
- Direct Contract Administration, for timely agreement renewals and profitable aftermarket sales growth
- Oversee Operations, IT and Accounting, and partner with CEO in Sales management so that sufficient capital can be budgeted for near-term growth targets
- Manage capital investments and expenses aggressively to ensure the company achieves investor targets for growth and profitability
- Build and maintain trusting relationships with key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholders
Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in operations engineering or business, MS or MBA preferred but not required
- 7+ years of progressive senior management roles, prior P&L responsibility preferred
- Superior communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to present critical information in a clear and compelling way to both internal and external stakeholders
- Experience working in a high growth environment strongly preferred
- Experience with international operations a plus
- Experience in a supply chain or manufacturing business with understanding of process equipment and revenue recognition
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Ability to "wear multiple hats" and multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines
- Ability to work without direct supervision, and efficiently manage tasks and time
