Job description

Linkitall (DBA LIA) is seeking a proactive and experienced Vice President (VP) to be hands on with delegating, coordinating, managing, and overseeing the day-to-day Operations. The VP is responsible for upholding the profitability, efficiency, compliance, and core values of the organization by leading and executing the functions of HR and Operations. The VP will act on the CEO's behalf and consult with the CEO to determine business goals, initiatives, issues, and concerns. The VP should be ready to mentor, lead, and supervise. In addition, the VP will implement and write policies and procedures (transforming all policies into executable plans and departmental procedures), find ways to increase levels of employee and customer satisfaction, and implement best practices across all levels within the organization. The VP will facilitate meetings across internal departments to maintain a culture of blameless accountability.
Major responsibilities include (and not limited to):

  • Participate, respond and/or resolve issues related to employee relations, HR, IT, Finance, Legal, Contracts, and policies and procedures, within the company in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Handle the day-to-day operations of multiple departments, as well as build new departments within the organization.
  • Plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee operations activities in the organization, ensuring development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet the current and future needs of the organization.
  • Create and implement strategic, high-level programs initiatives.
  • Demonstrate high level professional representation during travel and during internal/external events.
  • Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs by using the company's internal platform, iSolved.
  • Nurture a positive working environment by assisting with morale booster activities.
  • Oversees and manages a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and attend conferences, webinars and/or industry events to stay abreast of new initiatives and ways to stay ahead.
  • Maintain positive management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other personnel issues.
  • Supervise staff and contractors accountable for internal business functions. Provide/allocate coverage for staffing resources needed for time off and new hires.
  • Conduct monthly follow-ups with employees to discuss any employee's issues/concerns (if any) and/or any contract issues.
  • Conduct quarterly follow-ups with clients/customers to discuss any program management issues/concerns (if any) and/or any contract issues.
  • Effectively recognize and address customers' requirements by comprehending customers' requests and assessing customers' future potential requirements.
  • Lead and evaluate personnel, assess program performance, and aim to maximize ROI by expanding and growing existing projects, and developing existing relationships.
  • Identify, train and develop leaders within the company, supporting their path onto management roles.
  • Develop evaluation methods to assess program strengths and identify areas of improvement.
  • Produce accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle to the CEO.
  • Monitor the entire process of CMMC executed by the IT department, ensuring no interruptions with existing contracts.
  • Monitor the entire process of DCAA, if necessary.
  • Develop, create, and execute on-boarding, annual, refresher trainings, and training schedules.
  • Thoroughly review all agreements such as Temp Employment Agreements and NDAs, with the Contracts Manager.
  • Develop new internal processes and procedures to meet individual customer requests, through understanding customer needs.
  • Timely respond to any inquiries within 24-48 hours of receipt, particularly when related to taxes, benefits, payroll, HR issues, audits, assessments, etc.
  • Approve and monitor time sheets and PTO entries in accordance with the company's policies and procedures.
  • Conduct thorough review and approval of payroll in a timely manner.
  • Perform administrative duties, as needed.
  • Thoroughly read and participate in bid/no bids decisions, proposal meetings and writing, if needed.
  • Conduct, identify and communicate cost savings initiatives to improve LIA's internal processes, procedures, and policies.
  • Participate, oversea, and execute recruiting, hiring, and on-boarding processes.
  • Ensure that proper financial management is being executed throughout the company.
  • Conduct review of invoices for accuracy and final approval (period of performance) (e.g., duplication, proper invoice #, payment terms etc..) in accordance with the company's SOPs.
  • Analyze the performance of support functions with internal team members to determine improvement for internal departments.
  • Establish a streamline process to track and measure staff performance, to improve the organization's performance (establishing specific measurements that track individual personnel performance and provide feedback that focuses on issues and success factors).
  • Maximize staff utilization by effectively and immediately assessing staffing shortfalls and adjusting accordingly.
  • Develop and analysis BD department policies and procedures to lead to that is able conducting, identifying, and researching business development opportunities that potentially introduce new revenue streams and organic growth.
  • Develop and establish close-knit relationships with government (commercial, state, and federal) officials and third-party contractors.
  • Determines proposal concept by identifying and clarifying opportunities and needs, studying requests for proposal (RFPs).
  • Identify, train, and develop trustworthy leaders within the company and set them on a path of success.
  • Identify systems to increase company effectiveness. (Keeping up to date on information and technology affecting functional area(s) to increase innovation and ensure compliance).
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications, and establishing personal networks.
  • Coach, counsel, discipline, and monitor employee's performance.
  • Monitor and coordinate submission of monthly and weekly reports such as the company's GPM hiring ratio and profitability, to submit to the CEO.
  • Facilitate the Quarterly, Executive, and End-of-Year meetings.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, train, and oversee the professional development of HQ staff.

Qualifications/Skills:
  • Must be able to mitigate risk.
  • Must be able to strategically plan and execute.
  • Must be able to travel at a minimum of 25% of the time.
  • Possess a bachelor's degree in business or related field.
  • Demonstrates a proven track record as a team leader with an understanding of management practices.
  • Sound knowledge in Accounting.
  • 5-10 years of supervisory experience in operations or related field.
  • Excellent project and budget management skills.
  • Possess a strong understanding of the GovCon industry and business principals.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and build consensus in a high pressure and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to set overall strategy and drive process improvement.
  • Strong background in building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills with an impeccable attention to detail and organization skills.
  • Excellent leadership, and oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have experience with enforcing and reinforcing policies and procedures.
  • Must have a minimum of 10 years' experience of business acumen.
