TITLE: VP of Accounting & Finance

COMPENSATION: $280,000

REPORTS TO: CEO

LOCATION: Talladega, Alabama 35160
PURPOSE OF Your Position:
Industrial Products & Tech Services firm with a portion of revenue coming from their wholesale channel is seeking someone to lead their Accounting & Finance department. With ample liquidity and a track record of solid organic growth, now is the time for M&A to begin the consolidation of an industry that has long since been fragmented. Lead the due diligence, purchase accounting, valuation, of newly acquired businesses. Assist in the integration of acquired businesses, using outside resources when needed. Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare and present presentations to Board of Directors and Senior Management Teams
• Oversee and manage the financial planning and performance monitoring process for multiple entities
• Manage corporate accounting, transactional accounting, treasury, financial systems & financial reporting including financial statement and quarterly board deck production.

• Champion and support adoption and elevated use of Blackline for close management; tasks, journals, reconciliations, tracking/reporting.
• Prepare or assist in the creation of financial projections used to make strategic and tactical decisions designed to improve financial results.
• Assess technical accounting aspects of Accounting as a result of business combination transactions.
• Interface with banks to allow your corporate treasury function to control user access, quickly resolve issues, and hedge when necessary.
• Manage and communicate project timelines, due dates, and deliverables/action items, working with key stakeholders to ensure deliverables are completed on-time and accurately. Remove and escalate obstacles and barriers, escalating issues and concerns to key stakeholders and other executive management.
• Work and collaborate with CFO, CIO, VP of Ops, and Project Director to automate company’s processes.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting in accordance with GAAP.
• Review of monthly financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder’s equity and cash flow statements.
• Supervise experienced team that maintains corporate related accounts including debt related activity, income tax activity, equity activity, payroll activity, and intercompany activity.
• Coordinate with outside consulting firm on cloud-based ERP enhancements, improvements, and reporting writing strengthening
• Main liaison with external auditors & banking partner.




Requirements:


• ERP experience such as MS Dynamics 365 (D365), NetSuite, Acumatica, Sage, SAP Hana, Oracle Cloud, Intacct or MS Business Central all a plus
• Experience with Hyperion, Oracle Financial Consolidation and Close (FCCS Oracle Cloud), SmartView, OneStream, or Adaptive Insights a plus.
• Understanding of consolidation, eliminations and investment in subsidiary accounting
• Strong critical thinking and business acumen
• To be considered, possess strong Excel skills.
• Enjoys communication with operations, supply chain, marketing, advertising, and C-Level executives
