Overview
The purpose of the VP Mortgage Market Leader position is to focus on loan production by recruiting, retaining, and coaching a sales and service-oriented staff in order to achieve loan origination goals and cross sales of various Credit Union products and services. This role has moderate budgetary responsibility, has limited supervision of work, has moderate amount of discretion, requires creative thinking in order to solve routine problems, and must adhere to regulatory requirements.
The VP Mortgage Market Leader is responsible for coaching Mortgage Originators and support staff on loan origination and cross-selling techniques, serving as a subject matter expert (SME) for lending, participating in sales and service initiatives, promoting products and services, and supporting the management of department talent. This includes, but is not limited to, developing talent's ability to originate loans and cross-sell, conducting group and individual trainings, ensuring proper use of member relationship management software, coaching talent on handling member interactions, responding to loan-related account inquiries pertaining to complex loan issues, and assisting in setting sales goals for team, ensuring staff is regulatory compliant. This role also assists in establishing internal loan policies and procedures and building strategic relationships and is required to increase external referral base, and also attend events during and after business hours. This role is expected to be part of the community and active with M1st footprint community events representing our services and our brand. This position will work across departments internally to help our other sales areas cross sell mortgages and related products to all members and businesses.
EDUCATION
General and business knowledge equivalent to a bachelor's degree
EXPERIENCE
8-10 years of related experience
