The Opportunity

The Vice President, HR Business Partnerships, Commercial (VP, HRBP) is a senior strategic HR role responsible for partnering with the executive leadership of the Commercial teams on matters related to global organizationaleffectiveness—includingbut not limited to organizational design and development, employee engagement, workforce planning, change navigation, talent acquisition, development, and performance and compensation management activities. The Vice President, HRBP will identify and provide client-focused solutions that drive effective business results through the alignment of human resources best practices to strategic business goals.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic consultation to senior business leaders on human capital matters resulting in improved decision making (speed, quality, and transparency) and desired business outcomes.

  • Develop and execute upon the strategic workforce plans for critical business functions to include advancing a change management and communications plan.

  • Execute against strategic initiatives identified in collaboration with the commercial leadership team.

  • Evaluate organizational performance as it relates to staffing, workforce planning, change management, role clarity, and consistency in people leader performance.

  • Advance organizational design given the changing landscape in the business and functions ensuring the right talent in the right roles for today and the future.

  • Collaborate with the talent team on executive recruitment efforts.

  • Leveraging qualitative and quantitative data, partner with the Compensation team and commercial leadership to structure compensation packages (inclusive of commission and incentive-based compensation).

  • Oversee the coordination of succession planning and talent development initiatives within the commercial function. Implement a comprehensive talent management strategy for the commercial function, serving as a facilitator for identifying growth opportunities and exposure for high-potential leaders across the global sphere.

  • Assist in advancing diversity and inclusion objectives for the organization and senior executives.

  • Oversee the performance and compensation annual cycle to include communication, consistency reviews, calibration sessions, and strategic use of compensation budget in concert with talent identification and succession planning efforts.

  • Directly lead a small HR team and effectively utilize a broader HR team consisting of Centers of Excellence (COE) and HR Service Delivery (HRSD) to provide necessary support for the commercial function in attaining their growth objectives.

  • In conjunction with peers, COEs, and HR Connect team, leverage our HR community to proactively identify improvement needs for the HR function and passion for continuous improvement of the service delivery model.

  • Facilitate timely communication of business information and engagement where appropriate to ensure the broader HR team is prepared to effectively support the commercial function.

The Ideal Candidate Characteristics & Credentials

  • 12+ years of HRBP and/or broader HR experience in global, highly-matrixed organizations.

  • Demonstrated success managing a small HR team while effectively leveraging a shared services model.

  • Literacy in the commercial function or sales organization including sales enablements, sales operations, inside sales, and commercial excellence.

  • Proven leader of high-performing teams. Experienced in partnering with senior leadership on complex matters, building trust, and providing added business value through HR counsel and partnership.

  • Possesses broad knowledge of HR processes and best practice; understand the trends in the workforce and in the industry.

  • Ability to understand and develop strategies that impact overall effectiveness of the business unit and the broader organization.

  • Ability to communicate and present effectively to all levels of the organization, in particular senior leaders and other key decision makers.

  • Possess a strategic, solution-focused mindset; experience designing and managing successful people projects and programs; and an established track record of innovation.

  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, negotiate, and influence thinking. Willingness to be hands on when needed.

Reasonably expected salary range: $213,400.00 - $284,500.00
