Roles and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Oversight and Guidance of the Civic and Community Initiatives Department - 50%

• Providing support and strategic guidance for programs such as Centurions, genKC, World Trade Center, and Healthy KC
• Supporting volunteer-driven committees formed through programming and Chamber initiatives
• Collaborating with other departments to enhance programming and increase engagement

Operational and Strategic Leadership of the KC Chamber Foundation - 35%

• Working with the Foundation Director to set annual goals for review and approval by Board of Directors
• Assisting Foundation Director in the engagement and management of Board of Directors including scheduling meetings, creating agendas, and regular one-on-one meetings
• Acting as lead staff member for all KC Chamber Foundation Board of Directors meetings
• Ensuring Foundation's alignment with overall KC Chamber's strategy, especially as it relates to Initiative Partners and Strategic Partnerships
• Working with appropriate leadership to set and track Foundation budget

Community Relationships - 10%

• Developing relationships in the community on behalf of the KC Chamber and Chamber Foundation
• Attending events on behalf of the KC Chamber

KC Chamber Leadership - 5%

• Attending leadership team meetings, providing updates on current initiatives and support to other departments
• Engaging in work that supports the internal culture of the Chamber as well as the strategic objectives
• Sharing meaningful updates with department staff to ensure they are informed about overall KC Chamber operations

The above percentage splits are estimates of how much what percent of their total work time the VP, CCI will spend on each responsibility.
