Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to recruit and retain volunteers
- Manage the volunteer program, including coordinating volunteer assignments and schedules
- Provide training and orientation for new volunteers
- Supervise and support volunteers in their roles
- Collaborate with other departments to identify volunteer needs and opportunities
- Utilize social media platforms to promote volunteer opportunities and engage with volunteers
- Maintain accurate records of volunteer hours and activities using Volgistics
- Plan and coordinate volunteer recognition events
- Conduct public speaking engagements to promote the organization's volunteer program

Skills:
- Strong recruiting skills to attract a diverse pool of volunteers
- Proficiency in social media management to effectively communicate with volunteers and promote opportunities
- Experience in training development to create engaging and informative volunteer training programs
- Ability to supervise and provide guidance to volunteers, ensuring they have a positive experience
- Familiarity with Volgistics for tracking volunteer data and generating reports
- Excellent public speaking skills to present information about the organization's volunteer program
- Proficient in Office 365
The Coordinator of Volunteer Services plays a crucial role in recruiting, training, and managing volunteers for our Christ-centered organization. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with diverse groups of individuals. The successful candidate will have a passion for serving the homeless and be able to develop strategies to engage volunteers in meaningful ways.
