Pay Range: $ 55.74/hr - $ 75.25
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Charge Nurse is a licensed professional who contributes their services to providing unit specific management leadership in the areas of first-point-of-contact supervision, direct patient care, patient and staff education, emotional support and education of families and the community in accordance with the mission and philosophy, standards policies, and practices of Enloe Medical Center. The Charge Nurse collaborates with the physician and interprets the medical plan to staff members. They direct performance and supervise assigned staff members and assist the next level of management in directing care of the patient and support of the family.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
* One year of acute nursing experience or home care/clinic experience that that provided intravenous competency
Desired:
* Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
* Current licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing
* Chemotherapy certification
* Current CPR certification
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
Familiarity with venous access devices. Must demonstrate technical competence, professional clinical judgment, communication skills and sensitivity for the patient and family in crisis. Must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
