Pay Range: $67,500 to $79,500 per year.
Purpose of Position:
The VMI buyer will be working with senior buyers, creating the daily orders from Foster Farms to 19 Kroger locations for 250+ products sold to Kroger. This position will understand the Kroger requirements for inventory by location and product line; they will have full access to Kroger's Inventory by location and daily store demand. These employees will be responsible for creating PO's, execute and coordinate delivery appointments. Creating forecast assumptions for Promotional volumes in Kroger systems. These employees will also be responsible for analyzing and processing firm orders and working directly with the Foster Farms supply planning, sales, and logistics' teams to ensure success for both Kroger and Foster Farms related to ordering quantity, age of product at the warehouse and meeting all sales requirements for individual Kroger stores. These positions meet with the Foster Farms sales and Kroger buying team weekly to align on future business, promotional volumes and new products.
Essential Job Functions:
- Develop, analyze and execute inventory replenishment plans.
- Process POs for all Finished Goods requirements sold by FF delivered to Kroger.
- Complete daily tasks related to outbound order coordination with FF daily.
- Track and collaborate with Kroger Buyers on KPI's outline by Buying teams.
- Work with Foster Farms Sales team on Promotional volumes and bookings
Additional Functions:
- Other projects as assigned by Director of Supply Planning.
Minimum Requirements:
- BA or BS degree in business, statistics or related field strongly preferred.
- One- three years' experience using Inventory or ERP system.
- Strong Customer Service values.
- Strong Micro Soft Office Skills (excel, word, power point)
- Other Computer experience (SAP Preferred)
- Strong Analytical skills- Ability to solve problems in a detailed manner and be decisive.
- Excellent communication, organization and planning skills.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced environment and interact with a wide variety of employees and departments.
- Ability to complete most tasks without direct daily supervision.
- Have the ability to influence through indirect authority.
- Must be located in the Cincinnati, OH area.
Preferred Requirements:
- Three-five years' experience in supply chain Customer Service, Inventory management, supply planning, forecasting, or similar positions
Physical Requirements:
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to travel to travel to Foster Farms' Office located in California.
- Must be able to sit for long periods.
- Must be able to work on the computer for long periods of time
