We're glad you're exploring our Visual Die Inspector position and want to share some of the details.
First, some of the things you will need are a High School diploma or equivalent. We'd like to see 5 years of experience making or inspecting dies and previous experience working in a production environment preferred.
Second, in this position you will be responsible for things like visually inspecting wire drawing dies for flaws and wear related conditions using a microscope, use inspection information to determine whether or not a die should be used in production, and make recommendations to Assistant Die Room Manager. You'll provide production personnel with technical support and guidance on the condition of dies and suitability for use and make recommendations on possible causes for problems and potential solutions. The Visual Die Inspector will act as subject matter expert on matters relating to die conditions, wear patterns, reject situations and decision making for die suitability.
