Form of workPASCO SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 1EMPLOYEE SERVICES1215 WEST LEWIS STPASCO, WASHINGTON 99301PHONE (509) 543-6700 FAX (509) 543-6728 Open: August 16, 2022 Close: August 22, 2022 or until filled POSITION: Visual and Performing Arts - .5 FTEChiawana High School SCHEDULE: 2023 - 2024 School Year SALARY: Based on the 2023 - 2024 Teacher Salary Schedule Certificated salary schedule: https://www.psd1.org/Page/9702 https://www.psd1.org/Page/9702 Payroll and Benefits: https://www.psd1.org/Page/13230 https://www.psd1.org/Page/13230 QUALIFICATION REQUIRED: (Qualifications which are essential to the position)Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate.Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree.A minimum of 3 years of successful classroom experience.Willingness to do necessary extended days.Outstanding written and oral communication skills.Skills to appropriately support and advocate for personnel and programs while problem solving.Knowledge of the current Arts Standards, assessments and instructional practices to advance student achievement.Excellent time-management and organizational skills.Ability and willingness to effectively build and maintain relationships within schools and community.QUALIFICATIONS:DESIRED: (Qualifications which are not required, but would be useful to the position)*Bilingual in English/Spanish SPECIFIC DUTIES:Collaborate and provide input with District Director, school Administrations, and VPA staff in regard to scheduling, budgeting, staffing, hiring, maintenance and purchase of instructional materials/equipment.Facilitate various district cultural enrichment events, festivals and presentations.Act as the district liaison to the Pasco community and Visual and Performing Arts organizations.Assist in the alignment and implementation of district adopted curriculum.Coordinate peer-mentorships, coordinate and facilitate professional development for VPA staff.Manage the inventory of district VPA equipment, including maintenance/replacement schedules.Attend various Arts events throughout district schools.Advocate for equity across programs including necessary materials, equipment and appropriate facilities.Letters and applications received after closing date will only be accepted and screened if the position remains unfilled.
